Plaster : a cultural heritage material
Interest for exterior used plaster is actually renewed amongst architects and cultural heritage restorers. A double study has been led between 2015 and 2019 by Jean Ducasse-Lapeyrusse for the CPP (Pradeau-Morin and Parex-Group) - under the aegis of the LRMH - and Tiffanie Le Dantec in her thesis : Plaster coated facades in Île-de-France. Decline of exterior plaster, from 17th to 20th century (École doctorale Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin / École d’Architecture de Versailles with a Patrima funding).
In collaboration with the association Rempart, the CPP and the LRMH summarized the resultats of this study in a guide book destined to help architects, owners and restorers in their approach of this material.
