The paper describes a measuring device developed under the Eureka Project EU 401. The polarization resistance technique has been used in the laboratory for corrosion rate measurements of reinforcing bars in concrete for the last twenty years. Now an instrument applies this technique to real size concrete structures, using a sensorized controlled guard ring. The device allows measurement of the corrosion rate, corrosion potential and concrete resistivity. The performance of the device and some results obtained from concrete structures, which have been affected by carbonation of chlorides, are summarized. (Résumé des auteurs. Cop. Palladion)
